About Me
Hi everybody! (actually, there's probably only going to be me reading this)
My name is Zoe Rumbaugh. In case you haven't figured it out by this point, I am Chinese, and I was adopted from China. I had a "I-am-Chinese" epiphany about three years ago (more info in A Helpful Introduction post).
However, rather than going back over all that, I thought it might be a good idea to share more information about myself as a person, such as my hobbies, my personality, and other such stuff, in order to make myself, in the lingo of today more "relatable."
First off, I will say that I was born in 1999, I am a follower of Christ, I like dogs and generally don't like cats, I love reading and exercising (not at the same time), I have been studying Chinese and learning Chinese Dance for two years, and have adventurous taste-buds. These things listed above are some of the things I judge most probable to be found like-able by others.
Next is a list of things which perhaps are less like-able, yet are nevertheless true.
I am a k-pop fan, I like reading manga and watching anime sometimes, I'm short, I can be a bit lazy and narcissistic (at the same time), and I can get very obsessed with shopping for petite clothes online.
Alright, moving onto the "Questions-Adults-Always-Ask-Teenagers"
I was home-schooled during elementary and part of middle school. Partway through middle school I became hybrid-schooled* and it stayed that way until my senior year of high school when I dual-enrolled at a local university.
I will be attending a university in the fall as a freshman, and I plan to double major in East Asian Studies and Modern Languages Chinese. Yes, I will be excited to live on campus, I will miss my parents, and I do think it will be a good next step to becoming more independent.
I hope to live and and work in China someday, I have already been there once, and will have been there twice after July 14th.
Okay, that's it for now, I will probably update this again later.
